When adventure calls, you’d better pick up the phone or you might just miss the opportunity of a lifetime. In spring 2025, pro skier Amie Engerbretson woke up to the kind of text message that we all dream of getting: “Can you get to Alaska today?? We have an extra spot in the bird for you …”
Engerbretson didn’t hesitate. “Oh hell yeah, I’m in,” she responded.
With less than 12 hours to go, she packed her things, got on a plane, and made the trip to Great Frontier. She described what happened next as “48 hours of pure bliss.” Two days of endless powder runs on untouched Alaskan slopes.
