At the 2018 and 2022 Olympics, cross-country skier Jessie Diggins won multiple medals and became the most decorated American ever in her sport.
As her career reached new heights, she should’ve been on top of the world. However, an upcoming documentary shows that, behind the scenes, Diggins was unraveling.
“Threshold,” which premieres on Peacock on Feb. 23, follows Diggins throughout the 2023/24 World Cup season as an eating disorder, which she had developed as a teen, reemerges. “I could feel that voice that wanted me to just disappear,” Diggins says in the trailer. “I couldn’t stand being in my own skin.”
It’s a raw, intimate look at one athlete’s struggle with mental health. Check out the full trailer below.
