Steam users can now purchase Baldur’s Gate 3 for the lowest price that Larian Studios’ acclaimed RPG has been since the game’s launch. However, Steam users only have a few more days as of this writing to take advantage of the offer.
Originally released on August 3, 2023, after an extensive early access period, Baldur’s Gate 3 quickly became a fan-favorite entry in the series. Set in the land of Faerûn, BG3 offers players different ways to play and explore all that the campaign has to offer. BG3 utilizes a custom rule set that blends Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition (5E) alongside some balance adjustments from developer Larian Studios that tend to favor the player. Baldur’s Gate 3 is considered among the best Western RPGs to date, as it earned various Game of the Year honors from multiple media outlets, including The Game Awards 2023.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Drops to Its Lowest Price Yet on Steam
As a way to commemorate the third anniversary of Baldur’s Gate 3, fans who have not yet experienced the hit RPG have a timely chance to do so at a price cut. The Steam version of Baldur’s Gate 3 is now down to $41.99, a 30% discount, until Thursday, August 6. Although Baldur’s Gate 3 was recently discounted during the 2026 Steam Summer Sale, the game’s price at the time was $44.99. Ergo, the current price of BG3 on Steam is the lowest one that the game has seen as of this writing. Along with the discount on the base game, BG3‘s Digital Deluxe Edition DLC upgrade is also 30% off, down to $6.99, until August 6. The DLC includes digital goodies such as character sheets, an art book, and some in-game items inspired by Divinity: Original Sin 2. The combined cost of Baldur’s Gate 3’s base game and the Digital Deluxe Edition DLC is $48.98 while the sale lasts.
The discounted price of Baldur’s Gate 3 makes it cheaper than recently-released AAA games on Steam, such as Halo: Campaign Evolved. Although the game will not have any more feature updates, Baldur’s Gate 3 has extensive mod support to provide players with ways to change how they play the game. This includes the controversial True Third-Person Camera mod for Baldur’s Gate 3 that was released on July 20. Given the breadth of content that it provides, Baldur’s Gate 3 currently holds a 96% overwhelmingly positive Steam review rating.

I like the balance sheet here—less leverage than peers.
The cost guidance is better than expected. If they deliver, the stock could rerate.
