Diamondback Firearms expands its revolver lineup with the SDR-A and bobbed hammer SDR, bringing six-shot capacity, modern finishes, and easy maintenance.
New SDR Revolvers at SHOT Show 2026
Diamondback Firearms introduced the SDR revolver line after spotting a gap during the COVID-era surge in revolver demand. Many small-frame revolvers stayed stuck at five rounds.
Diamondback went a different direction. The SDR series uses a small-frame footprint but fits six rounds. That alone sets it apart. These revolvers also focus on ease of use, corrosion resistance, and modern carry needs.
All SDR models use a push-button cylinder release. A second button at the rear lets users remove the crane and cylinder as a unit. Cleaning becomes fast and simple. Push it back in, and you’re ready to shoot.
Fiber-optic sights come standard. The frames accept J-frame grips, which opens the door to plenty of aftermarket options. Diamondback ships them with its own boot-style Bantam grip for easy carry.
Bobbed Hammer SDR: Built for Carry
The bobbed hammer SDR targets concealed carry and snag-free draws. Diamondback offers it in multiple finishes, including glass bead stainless and black nitride.
The bobbed hammer reduces snag points without sacrificing double-action control.
Diamondback also released new three-inch versions alongside the bobbed models, giving shooters more sight radius and balance. These models ship with a slightly larger grip than the standard Bantam. They still remain J-frame compatible.
