Camping Gifts for 2026
Berghaus Theralite Vest

After a day of hiking around, things feel chillier back at camp. On such occasions, consider this lightweight reversible vest as a gift to keep your loved one’s core warm. The Berghaus Versalite Vest uses synthetic Hydroloft Elite insulation (40g/sqm) and can be worn with the breathable face fabric facing out, or flipped around so the water-resistant, windproof shell fabric protects against the elements.
The vest has a stretchy hem and underarm cuffs, as well as accessible pockets while wearing a pack or harness.

Bearvault BV One Adjustable Bear Canister

The BearVault BV One is an innovative product that makes a nice gift for anyone who camps in bear country. It’s a 2-in-1 bear canister that holds 8.3 L and compresses to 4.65 L. That’s about right for up to four days of food, and you can resize halfway through if you’re backpacking. Perhaps its best trait is the ease of using its threading system and buttons when adjusting it.
An alternate option is REI Co-op’s Traverse modular bear canister, which lets you set out with a large or small vault.

YETI Rambler Stackable Mugs (2)

YETI Rambler Stackable mugs are a classic example of the brand’s over-engineered, double-walled drinkware in a 6 oz. cappuccino-style. Hopefully, you aren’t going to let your coffee sit too long, but if so, it’ll be warm for hours. That size works great for sharing a beer, too.
The stackable design and small handles feel substantial, yet petite. Anyone particular about the taste of their coffee (or beer) will appreciate the ceramic lining, too.

Exped MegaMat LuxeWool Cover Duo

We’ve slept many nights on the Exped MegaMat Duo sleeping pad, and we think the LuxeWool cover is a great add-on that provides an extra layer of warmth and comfort. The topper is made from stretchy organic cotton and wool and can be hand-washed. It zips around the Duo pad and has convenient gadget pockets to keep a phone and glasses case within reach.

Sea to Summit Reactor Fleeceweight Sleeping Bag Liner

Sleeping bag liners are a great way to boost heat retention, and the Reactor Fleeceweight liner adds up to 14 degrees, according to Sea to Summit. Liners also reduce oil and dirt buildup inside your (much more expensive) sleeping bag. The stretchy, grid-pattern Thermolite EcoMade fleece also has an odor-control treatment.
We appreciate being able to wear it, which makes it a relatively functional layer inside your tent before crawling into your bag. The mummy-shaped liner has fasteners to keep it in place on your torso and a drawcord opening to let your feet stick out.

Yozma IN 10 Pro High-Performance Off-Road Electric Dirt Bike

The Yozma IN 10 Pro electric dirt bike is small in size and big on torque. Its 5,500 W engine boasts a top speed of 50 mph and a range of 60 miles. It’s sized for riders 4.7 ft–6.3 ft tall.
Our tester found that riding it excited the little kid inside her and was much more fun than expected as she cruised across her property for chores and to access trailheads. For campers, this bike can get you out of those drive-in sites and to a trailhead. It also makes for a fun way to explore open space and rocky expanses.

REI Co-op Westward 4 Tent

The REI Co-op Westward 4 tent makes a smart gift for a camping couple in your life. It’s a three-season, four-person tent known for its easy setup, ample weather protection, and roomy layout (5’9″ peak height). It has two doors (essential if four people are actually inside), mesh panelling in windows and doors for ventilation, and a generous vestibule.
A smaller, cheaper alternative is the brand’s classic Half Dome 2 tent, which is also available in a Plus for couples who want extra room (but not a four-person tent).

Dometic CFX5 55 Powered Cooler + Icemaker

First, this is overkill for weekend car camping. But if you’ve got a summer road trip filled with camping, this makes sense. An electric cooler that doesn’t require ice—but it makes it—the Dometic CFX5 55 powered cooler and ice maker will be your go-to for camping weekends and road trips. Go ahead and pack all the snacks.
Read why this is our favorite overall electric cooler.

Turtlebox Cub Speaker

For social camping outings, the Turtlebox Cub is a compact, rugged speaker that pushes 118 decibels of sound. Can it hang out in the elements? With a drop- and dust-proof design and an IP-67 waterproof rating, we’d say yes. It also has tie-downs to hold it in place on watercraft, ATVs, or a truck bed.
The Cub has 14 hours of battery life, 2-box stereo pairing, Bluetooth connectivity, and a party mode that pairs with other Cub and Ranger speakers (gen. 3 or later).

BioLite Range 400 Headlamp

The BioLite Range 400 headlamp is a great camping headlamp with just enough lighting options. Those include white and red LEDs with flood and spot beam modes. At its brightest, the 400-lumen mode casts a white spotlight 90 meters. We love the multiple tilt angles for lighting up a workspace, the comfortable headband, and its general ease of use.
The fast-charging 400-lumen headlamp keeps up with your outdoor pursuits and tones things down around camp. It runs about 6 hours on high and 200 on low, and has a low-lumen reserve mode that kicks in for an hour when needed.
Consider the Range 500 if the person on your list also backpacks. It delivers a bit more performance for another $10.

Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler 40L Duffel Bag

The Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler 40L is my go-to for road trips, which usually involve some camping. The main compartment has a mesh divider, which usually ends up with pants and shirts on one side and mid-layers and jackets on the other. Underwear and socks go in one side zipper pocket, and shoes or camp slippers go in the other.
The rugged material can withstand plenty of abuse, keeps most water out, and the bag has several latch points for quick grabs. It also has backpack-carry straps, which make it a breeze to haul through airports and keep hands free to carry other things (and one less trip to the car.
Alternatives include the Big Haul 40 or the smaller Big Haul 28, which is sized like a gym bag and makes a great go-bag for camping gear.

FLEXTAIL Tiny Pump X 2024

Pocket-sized and weighing less than 2 ounces, the FLEXTAIL Tiny Pump X is a must-pack for campers and hikers. It will quickly inflate your sleeping pad or plush air mattress and still have enough juice to work as a lantern with three brightness levels.

Jetboil Flash 1.0L Cooking System

Here’s a gift idea for someone who has just started camping or backpacking. The Jetboil Flash Stove is probably one of the most ubiquitous stoves among backpackers, campers, and coffee aficionados who like to brew a cup their way — even on the road.
The recent design update improved the surface area coverage between the flame and the bottom of the pot, resulting in boil times under 2 minutes. A rubberized grip and heftier knob add confidence and ease to lighting the stove. Jetboil also added a color-changing heat indicator to the sleeve around the stove so you don’t need to peek inside (you can usually hear the boiling water).

Marmot Wraptor 30 Synthetic Sleeping Bag

If a camper in your life tosses and turns at night, give them the freedom of movement allowed by this sleeping bag. The Marmot Wraptor 30 is a zipperless synthetic sleeping bag that uses overlapping interior flaps for adjustable coverage and clever magnetic snaps to keep the flaps in place. It is rated down to 30 degrees thanks to its 650-fill power, and for summer temps, it’s easy to sleep on top of the flaps.
It uses recycled ElixR Eco synthetic insulation for top warmth and performance when wet. The zipper-free design makes it easy to get in and out of and cuts a few ounces. The Wraptor 30 is available in three sizes, the largest of which weighs less than 3 pounds, making it a good entry point for crossover into backpacking.

REI Co-op Westward Padded Chair

For campers who want to sit outside, but not on the ground, this chair resembles a lawn chair you’d expect in a backyard more than at a campsite. The REI Co-op Westward Padded Chair is a lighter, plusher take on its bomber Westward Chair, our favorite camp chair.
We like both for the upright posture, comfortable wooden armrests, and the swivel-away drinkholder. It also has backpack-style straps to make it easy to carry once folded up.
The main difference between the two is the padded seat, which is smaller and sits an inch higher (17″) off the ground. That said, it still supports up to 250 lbs. and also weighs less than 9 pounds, rather than 13 pounds. It still has the

Camp Chef Pro 14 Grill

If you know someone whose car camping resembles “moving in,” the Camp Chef Pro 14 grill makes it easy to cook home-like meals for multiple people. After a year of use, our tester considered it a must-pack essential for his car camping kit.
The grill has two 30,000 BTU burners, a matchless ignition, and a three-sided windscreen. It uses a 5-gallon propane tank just like the grill at home, and even pairs with accessories (sold separately) like a griddle and pizza oven. And if the person on your gift list doesn’t have a backyard grill, this could be it.

Coast EAL35R Voice Control Rechargeable Lantern

At $40, the Coast EAL35R is a great budget camping lantern. It has several lighting modes, from 1,000 lumens of bright white to softer hues, and several red modes (including emergency flash). The plastic parts are pretty tough, and while it recharges via USB, it also runs on AA batteries as a backup.
The voice activation works surprisingly well, though it shuts off after 15 minutes of inactivity. It sounds gimmicky, but it comes in handy when you’re shuttling back and forth through camp while carrying things, cooking, or getting ready to turn in. Read our review for more info, and find out whether our tester found this lantern punch-proof.

NEMO Fillo Pillow

The NEMO Fillo pillow uses both air and foam to create a soft camp pillow. The pillow uses baffles for structure, while the foam adds insulation and softness. A release valve lets you adjust its firmness, and the machine-washable cover is a nice touch for comfort and cleanliness.
We like the Fillo pillow for camping, and it is packable enough to be a worthwhile splurge for backpacking, too.

The cost guidance is better than expected. If they deliver, the stock could rerate.
Interesting update on The Best Gifts for Camping: Gear for the Ultimate Camp Setup. Curious how the grades will trend next quarter.
